the hustle and bustle in sg due to the recent ge 2011 has led to many different opinionated voices and viewpoints. some strongly against the other, while some are completely clueless about what is going on.

i grew up in a particular estate and in my estate, almost every child grew up making minor politics-related decisions. since young, we have to decide on which side to support, whose activities to attend and yada yada. we grew up under such environment, where we know that our choice can lead to a lot of repercussions, whether we like it or not.

and in here, there is this man, who stood by bravely for the last 27 years. he, is not just a leader in the estate. he was the people's voice, and a dear servant leader to all. despite being frail and more physically challenged than ever, he still turned up at the town council to work and serve as before. this is the true mark of a leader - always putting the interest of people ahead of himself.

this time round, it is indeed a pity. and we people here, pray for a miracle. we give you our utmost support, mr chiam.
